How do long term conditions affect people at work?

What and how health and work professionals communicate to employers is of great importance. Below are five of the main conditions that are covered under the DDA.

Employers and health and work professionals can look at the websites or call the information lines of the organisations and they will be able to talk you through what might happen. Long term health conditions affect everyone differently though, so all of this must be assessed on an individual case by case basis. You may be asked to write a report or a letter explaining a condition or go into a workplace to show how reasonable adjustments could help a person with a health condition remain at work.
